There are serveral types of Business Insurances and coverages that are tailored to match each stage of your business's life cycle. They include:

The Basics:

  • General Liability Insurance - The minimum coverage all small businesses, old and new, need. This insurance covers you against things like accidents, injuries, poperty damage and lawsuits.

  • Business Owners Policy (BOP) - This insurance combines protection from all major property and liability risks in one package. To put it simply, you pay one rate for all your coverages.

  • Bond Insurance - Some businesses are required by law to have Bond Insurance such as Contractors and Car Dealerships.

Additional Coverages:

  • Worker's Compensation - All businesses that have employees must have Worker's Compensation Insurance by law. This insurance pays for things like medical costs and lost wages of employees who become ill or injured on the job.

  • Professional Liability/Error & Omission (E&O) Insurance- Any business that provides professional services or gives advice to clients should carry this insurance to protect them from becoming victim to a lawsuit for negligence when their work doesn't meet a client's expectations.

  • Property Coverage - This coverage protects your commercial buildings and most of your personal property. Liability normally covers people's property, not yours.
